Fractora combines radio frequency and fractional skin resurfacing that, depending on the depth setting, will remove all or part of the epidermis. Beyond this ablative zone, there is a zone of coagulation; similar to the change seen with some deeper chemical peels. Beyond this zone, there is a much deeper layer of dermal heating and it is this that sets Fractora apart from other fractional technologies. It is this dermal heating from the radio frequency that leads to significant skin tightening. Aftercare

Post Treatment Expectations

Your skin is likely to feel hot for up to 2 hours after

Post Treatment Aftercare

Avoid touching treated area without washing your hands thoroughly, especially in the first 48 hours
Ice packs or the use of a cool compress/cooling gel pack can be used on the first day to help reduce any heat sensation in the skin and reduce swelling
You can cleanse your skin using a non – exfoliating cleanser and pat dry with a clean towel. Do not rub

FAQ

Is there any downtime?

Usually, the downtime period is proportional to the degree of skin correction a treatment can achieve. However, this is not the case with Fractora! Despite it delivering superior results to any other fractional system, the downtime is relatively short, making it suitable for even those with busy lifestyles. Skin is likely to be pink for a few hours to a day or two. You may see tiny pin-point dark dots where the pins have worked their magic. Make–up can be applied 1-2 days post treatment or a medical foundation such as iConceal can be used the next day. As collagen and elastin are produced and skin repair occurs, your skin will appear fresher and tighter. You must remember that downtime periods cannot be guaranteed for any given individual, but overall patients are very happy with this aspect.

How many treatments will I need?

Depending on your Fractora treatment regime you can expect to have between 1-3 sessions plus maintenance. Maintenance will be discussed on final treatment. This may include at home products and other combination treatments. Fractora will only be performed after consultation in which then the Doctor or Therapist can create a detailed plan of your treatments.

How quickly will I see results?

Visible results can be seen immediately, but typically after two weeks the most noticeable results appear. Improvements continue up to six months after treatment.

Can anyone use Fractora?

Fractora uses radiofrequency which is colour-blind technology. The benefit is that it can be used on all skin colours. The unique properties allow even darker tones to receive treatment with minimal risks.

Can this be used in combination with other treatments?

Yes, Fractora can be used in the same treatment session, or a few days after some other treatments. Fractora can also be combined with additional energy treatments or injectables to achieve a more extensive full-face result.

When can I apply makeup after the treatment?

Since patient downtime is minimal, makeup can be applied 1 to 2 days after the treatment. Patients can expect to see micro lesions a few days after treatment and slight redness for up to 1 week depending on treatment parameters. A medical foundation such as iConceal can be used the next day.

What kind of post procedure care is required?

You will be given clear aftercare instructions following your procedure. Patients should moisturise the treatment area and avoid direct sun exposure. It is also recommended that patients use a good, broad-spectrum, physical filter sunscreen every day. In addition to reducing their future risk of skin cancer, sunscreens also reduce wrinkles and slow the ageing process.
