Frown Lines
Frown lines are a common complaint and often referred to as the “No.11s” as these often appear as two vertical lines between the eyebrows and naturally occur as part of our daily facial expressions and movements or as a result of thinning skin around the area and sun damage.
Frown lines can appear as two deep lines between the brows or horizontal lines straight across the forehead. These can develop as a result of thinning skin around this area; sun damage and with movement of the face.
There are a lot of underlying factors that can cause frown lines and early signs of ageing. For example; UV rays can make the problem worse. The rays break down the collagen and elastin in the skin, causing frown lines, so always be sure to be using your physical sunscreen and stay out of the sun’s harmful rays as much as possible. However, stress and smoking can also contribute to lines on the face. Tobacco in cigarettes can cause frown lines due to the fact it narrows the blood vessels, which in turn allows less oxygen to reach the skin.
