We have been enjoying iPixel for the last 5 years here at Perfect Skin Solutions, however due to the exciting new technology we have introduced into our clinic during this time that supersedes this, we have now suspended the provision of this treatment in favour of newer technology.

Aftercare

Post Treatment Expectations

  • Your skin will be red and feel sunburned after treatment. This starts to subside within 24 hours
  • You may have swelling in treatment areas
  • You may experience mild skin peeling/flaking 2-3 days after your treatment

Post Treatment Aftercare

  • Applying a cool pack after treatment will help with any discomfort
  • Avoid sun or other prolonged UV exposure for 14 days post treatment to reduce the chance of hyperpigmentation or darker pigmentation. SPF and antioxidant protection must be worn post-treatment. You will be advised on suitable aftercare products
  • Avoid vigorous exercise, sauna/steam room/hot baths, and any other heat inducing  treatments, and makeup for 48 hours post treatment
  • Apply CellDerma GF5 to help soothe any sensitive skin
  • Avoid picking, rubbing or scratching the treated skin

FAQ

Unlike traditional ablative laser resurfacing, which burns the outer layer of skin, this new generation of treatment does minimal damage to the outer skin layer and thus minimises redness and downtime. The ablative element of the laser happens at a deep-skin layer and uses heat to stimulate collagen production. This triggers the body’s natural healing process to stimulate the growth of new healthy skin tissue.

If you are concerned with aged, sun-damaged, pigmented or acne-scarred skin, or just looking for complete skin rejuvenation, then this treatment is a great option for you.

It is suitable for both men and women and can be used on the face, neck, chest, hands and body areas. The best course of action would be to have a consultation with one of our Aesthetic Therapists to assess your skin and talk through any concerns you have.

The procedure is usually very well tolerated with little discomfort. Afterwards, the skin will feel warm; almost like sunburn. Sensitivity may remain for a few days after. Following the appropriate aftercare, including the at-home creams, will help to minimise this.
