LipoLas Laser Lift

LipoLas is a minimally invasive laser treatment designed to tighten skin and improve contour by treating the tissue beneath the skin using a fine optical fibre. It targets mild to moderate skin laxity and small pockets of fat, helping to improve definition without the need for traditional surgery.

LipoLas works in a very similar way to EndoLift and EndoDefine, using a fine fibre to deliver laser energy beneath the skin. The key difference is that LipoLas combines two wavelengths (1470 nm and 980 nm) rather than a single wavelength, offering greater versatility in fat targeting, tissue heating and vessel coagulation in selected patients.

The 980 nm wavelength supports coagulation of small blood vessels and contributes additional controlled tissue heating. This can help improve procedural control, reduce bruising and support smoother recovery, while complementing the strong fat- and water-targeting effects of the 1470 nm wavelength.

LipoLas can be used on both the face and body. Common treatment areas include the lower face and jawline, neck and under-chin area, upper arms, abdomen, thighs, knees and other small, localised areas of fat with associated skin laxity.

LipoLas is best suited to patients with mild to moderate skin laxity and small pockets of localised fat who are looking for tightening and contouring without surgery. It is not a weight-loss treatment. Suitability is determined during a full medical consultation with Dr Patel.

LipoLas is performed under local anaesthetic. Most patients report pressure or pulling sensations rather than pain during the procedure. Some tenderness, swelling or bruising can occur afterwards but is usually mild and temporary. The majority of patients (once numbed) report no pain during or after the procedure.

Downtime is typically shorter than with surgical lifting procedures. Most patients return to normal daily activities within 24–48 hours, although swelling, bruising or tenderness may last for several days depending on the area treated. You may be advised to wear a compression garment post-procedure.

Some improvement in contour and tightness may be visible early, but results continue to develop over several weeks as collagen remodelling occurs. Skin tightening typically improves progressively over 3–12 months.

All LipoLas procedures at Perfect Skin Solutions are personally performed by Dr Dev Patel. He has extensive experience with endofibre laser technologies and has previously served as a UK Key Opinion Leader and trainer for 1470 nm laser systems such as EndoLift and EndoDefine.

Results can be long-lasting when combined with a stable weight, healthy lifestyle and good skin care. As ageing continues, some gradual change over time is expected, but many patients enjoy sustained improvement in firmness and contour.

You will receive full aftercare instructions at the time of consultation. Strenuous exercise is best avoided for 10-14 days. You may be advised to wear a compression garment for 3 days day and night, and then nightly for 14 days. If you feel this is not going to be possible, discuss this with Dr Patel at the time of consultation.
